Who Is The American Beatles?

I've often wondered which American Rock and Roll band has had the most influence on music and culture. I know none of them compare to The Beatles, but what I'm looking for is which band is the American Beatles? I've listed a few choices in my poll, but if there's one not included, feel free to write them in.

I should have also included Creedence Clearwater Revival in the poll. I guess I can't edit it.

Elvis Baby...

Or maybe if you ask the Germans, none other than Mr. David Hasselhoff.

If you're looking for the last 10 years, you'd have to chose Nirvana. Although I prefer 50 Cent.

I love The Doors but I can't gauge their influence as much as The Eagles so that's who I voted for. How about Boston?

There is no equivalent. The Beatles' influence was so far-reaching and huge that there has been nothing to compare with them from America. You can make a case for Nirvana, but even Kurt & co. pale in comparison with the influence the Beatles had. Elvis probably is the closest thing we've got.

No, it's got to be a band. Yes, Elvis had TCB but it was more Elvis than it was TCB. So, Elvis doesn't count.

Okay then. I will then stick with David and the Hasselhoff's...
