What is Home Media Option (7.1)? Is that software on the computer or is that something that you have to have on your DVR? Thanks for the help, by the way.

Home Media Option is part of the DVR. It allows you to share pictures or songs from your PC to the Tivo. It does need to be a Series 2 Stand Alone (SA) Tivo though. Here is a link to Tivo To Go. This explains how to find out if you have the correct version.

If you don't have this software/option on your Tivo, there is a way to "hack" it so you can do all this, but I haven't done it. It's pretty messy.

What if you don't have an official Tivo brand? Am I just screwed? I have a cable box that has a built in DVR that I got from Comcast. Do you know anything about that or am I going to have to start Googling?

Yeah, that I'm not familiar with. Here is a site which covers most "hacking/modification" of anything digital from Phones to DVRs. I wouldn't be amazed to find hacking of watches in the near future. DealDatabase
