Any Jazz fans out there?

I am a huge Jazz fan! Yes it is possible to like more than one sport. I love Baseball, soccer, basketball, etc...

Anyway the Jazz are so much fun to watch this year, I think they're a great team (even though I was extremely disappointed with their loss last night in Orlando) and they will make the playoffs. If anyone else is a Jazz fan here then I look forward to discussing them. If not, I'll take this Jazz talk elsewhere.

Yeah baby, go Jazz!

I've talked with some of my uncles, brothers, friends, etc. and everyone almost to a T has said that they have never been as excited about a Jazz team as they are about this one. Great stuff.

I was at the Toronto game that they lost. I'm sure there will be plenty of those "off nights" and bad games, but this is a fun team to watch. And I really like the fact that they have a core of young players that will be here for a while.

Yeah they have signed their players to good long contracts. Kirilenko is only 23, and we'll be watching that guy for a looong time. Boozer is young too and I believe he's got a long contract as well.

As I was leaving the MLS Cup party last sunday I ran into Gordan Giricek (one of my favorite players!) up at the Gateway. I just said "hey" to him and he said "what's up man" to me. It was cool, and now I tell all my friends that I hung out with Giricek and that we're good friends. haha. Maybe we can get him in the Loyalists, he's from Croatia after all.

If the Utah Jazz do get (somehow) the first pick... who should they take? I'm thinking that Bogut would be cool but I'm not familiar with anybody else. So call it a pick of ignorance. Anybody else fit the bill?

Uh, is D.J. Countess eligible for the NBA draft? It wouldn't interfere with soccer. I think he'd make a great power forward. But seriously, Bogut's about the only name I know of too.

Most signs point to Deron Williams being drafted. Unless the Jazz land #1 or #2, in which case they'll likely go with Bogut or Chris Paul.

Jazz suck at the PG position, and Bogut would be redundant at his position if he were to go to the Jazz, so I'm secretly hoping they don't get the #1 pick. And, I actually like Williams better than Paul, so I hope the Jazz get a good solid #3 pick.

I think the Jazz are weak in the middle. I think Bogut would be a good addition. Ever since Eaton left we've been weak at the Center position. Ostertag did okay at center. I could even argue that the difference between the 03-04 season and the 04-05 season was the loss of Ostertag. I like Keith McLeod as a point guard. When I saw him play I was amazed by him. I also think that Kirk Snyder will come around. Right now we have a center by committee of Borchardt, Collins, and Handlogten. The only one that is worth his pay is Handlogten, but I don't think he's going to make the difference.

I think being in the lottery for the first time is exciting. Now, if the team is back in this position again next year, and the year after that.... it's going to get old. But for now, it's kinda fun! Tonight @ 6:30!!!

Anyway, I agree with Bordelais, I would be happy with the #3 taking Williams. I'm not sure about Paul, and the Jazz need a PG rather than another big.
