I would be willing to volunteer my in-laws basement if anyone who would also be at this "prior engagement" and in the UC would like to watch the tape, and subsequently MLS Wrap.

I'll also be at the same "prior engagement", and wish there were some way I could tape it instead of the game 🙂 But count me in for that.

Edit: Sorry, you said PM -- I didn't notice 🙂

It wouldn't be ideal, but it wouldn't be that bad either.

Let's just hope that we can get Iggy's to give us one of their screens. That sounds like the best option.

I called the Puck. The guy said he would get the match on for us... but it is a private club, so no kids, which to many of our members is a deal breaker, and you have to buy a membership too. The high ceilings are good but it will not eliminate the smoke.

I have my fingers crossed for Iggy's and I will keep asking around and checking the yellow pages.

I will post what ever I find...

Geez, what are people thinking scheduling "prior engagements" on the opening weekend of our local MLS team? Maybe you could talk to the person in charge and see if He would be willing to reschedule. 😉

You know the Encyclopedia Galactica had this to say about comedians...

"Comedians are a serious bunch of guys that will be first up against the wall when the revolution comes!"

:D 😉

Hey guys, I am not in Utah, so I can't help you decide, but the sooner you do, the sooner I can update the website and email our vast list (200+ now) and let everyone know. It looks like Aero and Deuce are the biggest supporters of a commercial venue (which I agree with). I can't see emailing everyone to come over to McKid's in-laws house (sorry Scott).

So decide on a place and please, please let me know ASAP (via this thread, email or PM).

I would be willing to tape the game and watch it later with everyone if people with a "prior commitment" want to come over here. I'd hate to put out the inlaws after all.... But if they have a nice big house and all, that sounds great for this.

It doesn't sound as if we will know for sure until Duece can call Iggy's tomorrow. That seems to be the best option if we can get that. But I also have us down at Fiddler's Elbow if that falls through. I'm not sure if you want to email people with things so much up in the air, but I think that those are our first and second options right now.

I'm all for the commercial venue with all the RSL gear and yelling and hoorahs. However, I'll be at the "prior engagement" (tip toe tip toe.. 🙂 ) and also in the UC. If I did go to the commercial venue, wherever that ends up being, I'd get there way late.

I'd rather see the whole shebang with any UCers who can't make it to the commercial venue and do some irreverant hoorahs for Real Salt Lake. So, McKid or Montgjules or whoever in the UC : count me in.

I hope we get together at a commercial venue and whover can go should go, but I'll be in the UC. :o

I'll miss the lot of you.

It sounds like there are a certain number who will watching the game after general conference, no matter what happens with Iggys or anything else. That being said, those who would like to join us Utah Countyites for a post-"prior engagement" watch party, please PM me and mckid and we'll email/PM everybody the final location and address later in the week after we work out details. So far we have:

Jules (and Mr. Jules if it's at our house)
McKid (and Mrs. McKid?)
Scilaci (and Mrs. Scilaci I hope)

Any other takers? Jim Umber? Czar Jake? Loyal1? I know you're all UCers. Also... who lives out in Eagle Mountain?? (Sorry I forget the name right now...) Let us know.
