Be sure to post it, as I might be able to come on Thursday (NO WORK!).

Great report you guys. Thanks for letting us know how it went. I assume Mathis was playing on both teams because he was the magic 10.
I do have to say that all this talk of not saying hi to each other is really dorky! I can't help it, my wife and I were just reading this and laughing our heads off. :D
I've never met anyone here and yet I know everyone's first name. Come on guys, get with it!
My wife suggests if you feel uncomfortable telling your first names via the Internet then tell each other what you are going to wear at the next practice.
Of course, you could all just wear your Loyalists shirts. 😉

To be fair, SoccerPrime, I didn't expect anyone to recognize me since I haven't gone to anything since the name unveiling back in October.

Plus, I dress like a 14-year-old, so I figured I'd fit in with all the spring breakers :D

And it was like dead silent when I walked in... at first, I thought there was a no-talking rule or something!

Well I resemble the "dork" remark, but I don't care...
Life is a learning experience so I learned that next time I will probably not be the only dork... so :p

Now when Prime comes out to a game from Florida I am going to pretend I don't recognise him and make him come up to me! 😉

But seriously knowing someone's name does not mean you will recognise them when you see them.

I only guessed at which might be Kali from the way she writes on here and some of the descriptions she gives of things so I looked for someone that looked/dressed like she sounds... it was a lucky guess.

Is that a usual thing for teams to do? I've never been to a team's practice before today and had never heard of that.

I don't think that it is a matter of feeling uncomfortable with our names. I know, for me at least, it is simply a matter of not being sure who everyone is. I didn't have any idea who Clarette was while we were there. If I had known what she looked like, I would have gone up and said "hi" to her. I think that the uncertainty of what people look like is more the problem than being afraid of each other.

I would have worn mine if I had remembered that this was happening today. I had planned on it, but I'm not the best thinker in the morning. 🙄 I'll have to put mine out Wed night so I don't forget it Thurs if we can go to practice then.

We're all dorktacular... yee haw!

I'm kicking myself for not wearing my RSL hoodie today, especially since I got rained on walking back to work afterward.

It's a pretty common drill...I helps the team with possession keep possession and forces the #10 to work his/her tail off finding space and showing for passes...Did they play to work the ball over a touchline (for a goal) or just inside a confined area to work on keeping possession?

It looked to me as if they were simply playing within a confined area during the possession drill. There didn't seem to be any real specific direction anyone was trying to go in. It looked as if they were just trying to have people get open in space and then have people get them the ball.

When they scrimmaged, they had actual goals though.

That's cool to know about the #10 guy. Although, to be honest, it didn't look as if Clint was working his tail off. He didn't run a whole lot. He mostly stayed in the middle of the field and took passes from both teams there. He did have some very creative passes that he made though.

Kreis looked great. He was all over the place. I was also impressed with Watson. He never seemed to slow down at all. Of course, it could just be that I knew who those two were by sight so I payed closer attention to them. Cila also had a good shot for a goal. He seemed to work well in front of the goal.

The drill looked like a keep-away type drill... someone was counting the number of passes each team could make consecutively. There were no shots being taken, since the goalkeepers were off doing their own thing.

I thought Kreis looked awesome, too, from what you can tell in training.

Hope you have fun at the next practice as well and get to say hi to one another.
