What happened at Park City on Sat.

It was a great evening.

I hope the others that made it will chime in with their thoughts.

Let me just say that some of you left too early. How was the drive-thru? The buffet was great! And I think I cut in line in front of a bunch of people.

The unis look great. Looks like the blue shorts option won out. Akwari, Countess, Flores, Dunseth, & Kries were the models.

We had players wives sign up to be Loyalists.

For years the Jazz have prided themselves on having "good people" on their roster. I really don't think they have anything on RSL. If there are people nicer to complete strangers than Brian Kamler and Chris Brown I would be surprised.

There were two important things to come out of the receiption/party following the fashion show.

First was the contact initiated with Adidas. Their people in attendance are interested in supporting the supporters club. These were very preliminary talks but it looks like it will lead to a significant perk for The Loyalists.

Second of all, the cat is out of the bag: Car-smart is going to sponsor The Loyalists. We will essentially make a wish list of things to do our thing. Wayne, our contact, is an englishman who "wants to see football done right."

The commercial that will run is very cool too. I think it will attact people to the games.

Speaking of commercials, be on the look out for another one with The Loyalists in attendance giving a stirring rendition of "We're on our way."

I missed a buffet? Dangit!

Well, in my defense, my white away jersey purchased at the Park City Fanzz is fabulous! Plus, I had to get back to watch the Aggies crush the Pacific Tigers to win the BigWest tournament and go dancing. Please don't turn this thread into one about basketball...I'm just excited for the Ags.

Glenn pretty much nailed it with everything. I'll write a more detailed account of the evening from my percpective and post it in the blog I've been keeping about my views on RSL.

Great evening! The team, along with adidas, went all out.

Is it for sure that the away kit will use blue shorts and blue socks?

I haven't added comments yet and I should have something about the event up on the front page today.

Great--everything looks better than I'd ever imagined. Thinking back to the original 1996 MLS team kit, much has been learned. 🙂

And RLS has the requisite humongous jersey!

On first look, I have to say the best uniform is the away set. It's all great, but the road kit looks really classy.

Thanks for the photos.

Wow, a lot did happen. Thanks for posting the pictures Neil. Looks like it was a lot of fun.

Car-smart as a sponsor is great (I think, I've never heard of them, but I trust you guys). What does a sponsor actually do? Do they give us money for projects? What do we do for them? Are we expected to place an ad for them on our website or something?

I am also interested in this adidas project. How would they sponsor us? Do we have to wear adidas shoes?

Please, lets talk about this more Glenn!

Also, are the Loyalists shirts now official??? 😉

Is it just me, or do you guys like the away uniforms better?
I love Syracuse and the Dutch but the shirts look too orangey to me.
