That's ridiculous. That really sets it stone for me. Some of these guys must really have an agenda, and it's not "fair and accurate reporting".

Although, I must say that a couple of the other articles from the Trib were very positive about the game and to a degree the stadium deal.

This goes along with a comment I made on another board a few weeks ago. I observed that I had seen few printed letters to the editor that give well-informed arguments in favor of stadium that might be able to influence opponents to change their mind. Instead any pro-stadium letter I had seen were generally of the "GO REAL!!!" sort that didn't really have any 'meat' to them.

For what it's worth, the people I car pool with who aren't really soccer fans and have been against the stadium (despite my attempts to educate them) all along, now have a perception that both sides gave a little bit during last week's negociations and now seem to feel the stadium is beneficial to the community.

I guess I could look it up myself, but does anyone have the phone number to the county council offices for a little last minute lobbying before today's vote?

Um, am I the only one who's nervous about this vote tonight? The media thinks the deal's got the votes to pass, but the county council isn't exactly known for keeping promises. Anyone care to calm my fears?

With the way Wilde was looking to Corroon for leadership last time, maybe he will switch his vote again for a 6 - 3 margin.

So is there a plan?

Do we show up in RSL gear?
