Countess vs Garlick

If you had to choose who would you pick Countess or Garlick? Countess had a ton of goals scored on him, but I think he took a lot more shots. He had flair and he was entertaining. I pick Countess.

Garlick prevents some shots that Countess had to stop. As a shot stopper, I take Countess. As an organizer, I take Garlick.

I guess we just need a better keeper overall, hopefully that will soon be Nolly.

I'd go with Nolly as well. Wasn't impressed at all with Garlick when I saw him here in Houston. DJ was just to dang frustrating to watch.

I'd take Coutess because at least we could blame his youthfulness and know that we haven't invested in a trade for him.

Same could also be said for Nolly... we did use a draft pick on Nolly though

I am baffled at how short people's memories are...
Do you guys not remember having these same "Put Nolly in" debates during the season last year?

FC Dallas had a pretty decent keeper in Sala but they were not satisfied with being in first place in the west... they wanted first place in the league so they go out and get a great keeper in Shaka from West Ham United...

I think we need that same attitude in our coaching and FO staff... If it ain't working... let's fix it! no more excuses...

Hmmm... Garlick has a bad game again and you guys come up with "I wish we had Countess back..."
I am surprized no one has yet said "gosh DJ was cuter!"

If we are serious about improving our GK situation... then we need to pick up a quality keeper that is not in the twilight of his career that can come in and lead now... and allow Nolly to continue to develop in the Reserves.

Nolly is gonna be awesome when he is ready but I am sure you guys remember how quickly you wanted Countess back when Nolly was beat left, right and center in DC last season.

I don't think we have a keeper in our roster right now that is up to the task at the moment! Nolly is our future keeper but we need a keeper for today.
