Aren't these Sven Goren Ericksson's last few matches with England. Offer Sven a nice little salary, and maybe he'll come. Whomever it is, they need to start preparing now for 2010.

Interesting article on Crew's Schmidt taking over.

Arena says U.S. simply was not good enough for this World Cup

This is absolute cow crap! The difference between 2002 and 2006 is that in 2002 the US scored a total of 5 goals in the first round -- good enough for us to advance to the round of 16 where we scored another 2 goals.

To put this in perspective, in 2002 we scored at least one goal in every single match we played (you can count the German handball as a goal too).

In 2006 we scored all of one solitary goal in the first round. One goal in three matches. Obviously that ain't gonna do it.

For Bruce to say we weren't good enough is absolute rubbish. What do you expect when you put a 4-5-1 formation out there?

Pure crap.

Bruce has gotta go.

Larry Brown would coach for at least 3 teams before the next World Cup arrived.

Why? Sigi is a very good coach that not only has won a championship at Div 1 college levels and MLS but has also extremely succsseful with the U23s for the US.
That's a better resume then most other American coaches for the USMNT job.

Although, I think getting someone like Klinnsmann has got to be a better choice.

Blame the hype over U.S. team's talent, not Arena's effort
