Nolly is not starting Saturday 🙁 he told me himself. I did all I could to get the coaches to listen to me, but they just think I am a stupid woman who doesnt know anything about soccer. LMAO.

Sorry folks, Garlick still did not impress me last night even by making a save or two and getting a win. I screamed out of sheer terror every time the Galaxy had a shot on goal.

It was just out of pure luck that he didn't get scored on twice in the first ten minutes and even the saves he made, with the exception of one, were balls that came right to him. And his goal kicks seem so weak since they seem like they just barely make it to midfield.

He even managed to get a yellow card.

I still think Nolly should start this comming Saturday.

The ref last night sucked. The YC means nothing.

When the shot comes right at the GK, it's often because of his positioning.

If he had given a goal up in the first 10 it wouldn't have been his fault. RSL was letting the Galaxy cut through them like they were butter.

Garlick is not Friedel, Keller or even Howard or Fat Tony. But that doesn't preclude him from having a nice game.

I big save is just a recovery from a big mistake. Positioning is everything.

Garlick impressed me last night. He played his best game of the season by far. Some of the shots coming right at him would be tough to stop. I'd still like to see Nolly play.

Score vs. LA if we still had Countess: 5-3. Ouch.

Thank Goodness for Garlick.

Happy Madre Day to all.

Do we know what happened to Garlick? Was he taken out due to injury or poor play?

I know there are alot of Garlick fans out there and since he is only one of three MLS keepers to get 100 wins you have to say he knows what he is doing while on the pitch.

But I just think he is too small to be an effective keeper. The goal that Colorado scored last night looked like a shot that a bigger and taller keeper could have easily stopped. Garlick just kind of threw his hands up but the ball just flew right over him and into the back of the net.

Nolly may have looked alittle shakey while he was in the game but I chalk that up to it being his first real game. He did have one strong save where he came off his line to grab a dangerous ball that was being crossed. All I think Nolly needs is some playing time to gain more confidence.

Anyone have an idea on who will be starting next game?

The radio commentators said Garlick went out due to a lower back strain in the first half of the game. I think.

I think Garlick is fine. I don't think he's the best in MLS--I think he was on the opposite side of the field last night and I hated him more than once--but he is respectable and fairly solid.

I would love to Nolly get some time in the nets... if he doesn't quite cut it, fine, we would still have Garlick available to sub in. The thing that I am seeing in Garlick is that he doesn't seem to try very hard at times. He acts as though he knows that he will play no matter the outcome... so he works just hard enough to not create public outcry on a grandscale.

I am ready for Nolly.
