so the real question is: would this be a part of my season tix, or do we all have to buy another ticket to see this match?

It's interesting to read the Deseret News article and then the Salt Lake Tribune. From one read of each I thought the DN was talking about the issue as a whole with a bit of reporting on yesterday's meeting. But from teh SL Trib, I came away thinking there isn't much of an overall issue and last night's meeting was all about Crockett beating up on Checketts.

Who knows? But I would think it would be part of the season ticket package. Maybe a way for them to say "thank you" to season ticket holders again.

The scary part

Quote:
"What do we do? We move the team with that kind of investment? No, we keep the team here," he said. But without a permanent home, Checketts said, he can't guarantee anything.
.....he can't guarantee anything.....that's a nice way of saying we're outta here. The seriousness of this issue goes way beyond our petty internet arguments about Sandy vs. downtown. No stadium = no team, period. This might be a good time to stop all the infighting about location and come together, because if this deal doesn't get done you won't have to worry about driving anywhere for games.

You got that right.

The importance of a soccer specific stadium played itself out this year in San Jose.

Well, we got a WCQ for free last year. I also think they'd give us a ReAL - Real matchup (or whatever they are planning) free.

Cool.

Does this mean that Larry Miller and Franklin Covey and the Olympic peeps and all of those other people that used taxpayer money for sports are going to give it all back? Because I could seriously use a raise this year...

Checketts has a fiduciary responsibility to move the team to the city with the stupidest taxpayers.

When you consider how much money they gave bazillionaire Paul Allen to build a stadium for the Seahawks, people in Seattle are pretty stupid.

Zonies aren't that bright either, when you consider how much they spent on Whichever Bank Ballpark in Phoenix.

The Kings Of All Stupid Taxpayers are in San Diego, with that agreement to pay the Chargers for unsold tickets.
