Maybe it's a conditional pick?

Depending on how many games Pope plays or if we make it to the playoffs, or how far we go in the playoffs or if Don Garber hands Eddie The Ugliest Trophy In North American Pro Sports this fall; that determines which of our picks the Swamp Things get.

Maybe this should be on a new topic?

Who does Don Garber hand North America's Ugliest Pro Sports Trophy to? Clint? Eddie? Jason?

My vote is Jorge Estrada!

I officially forgive Eddie for MLS Cup '96.

Actually, I had forgiven him after that Injury Time goal against Mexico.

Eddie is also supposedly one of the smartest players in MLS. I seem to remember he had been accepted to law school? But I may be wrong on that.

Maybe His Bruceness will let Eddie do a radio interview?

If an RSL office lurker or someone could set that up; and let us know when it will be; maybe we fans could call in with some semi-intelligent questions.

I love coming home at night and having all the links set up for me!

You guys are great!

Back in '04 when RSL didn't have any players Dysko and I were in a meeting with the FO and it was mentioned that the Screaming Eagles had done working with Pope's foundation in the DC area and would we be open to something like that.

Um, sure. Except Eddie Pope's Foundation is based in NC.

I looks like Ellinger won the debate with Pastorino 🙂

Anyone have an address for the Empire Soccer Club to send those hotdogs? 😎

The more I think about this aquisition, the better it sounds, and it sounded good from the beginning. Jason Kreis and Clint Mathis were coups for the club, but landing Eddie Pope is right there too.

Every personnel decision is a gamble, but I can't help but think that Metro has blown it again. They brought in Jaime Moreno and Pope from DC and couldn't win with them (they still have none of the big three championship trophies). Moreno goes back to DC and United wins MLS Cup. Pope comes to RSL and . . . we'll see.

Our team rules. Even other teams' fans are admitting it. Their only question is how long it will take for that infamous and all-important "team chemistry" to develop.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't Mathis, Pope, and Williams all played together on the same team?
