Fascinating. I'd love to hear a little more about that.

I'm not sure if I like the idea of deciding on which sport is most exciting simply based on whether or not the favored team wins more often or not. I think that the play of the actual game itself has more appeal to most people. I personally don't care if there is an upset every single time, no one is getting me to watch figure skating. (Well, except during the Olympics. For some reason I can tolerate it then.)

Somebody once said that "Golf is not a Sport! Golf is men in ugly pants walking!"

I feel the same way about Baseball, Baseball is not a sport! Baseball is seven (or however many) grown men standing around watching two grown men play catch. All hoping the guy with the stick does not get said stick in the way of the ball that the two are using to play catch.

At the very least there should be a rule like in Cricket when the ball goes backwards off the stick the other guys can play it. but no in baseball you get infinite amounts of chances to hit the ball backwards.... BORING....

If nothing else, soccer's excitement is derived from the fact that it is a player's game.

No timeouts, no playbooks dictating who runs where, no coaches telling the players exactly what to do every 10 seconds, no standing around in between plays. It's very organic.

Yeah, if upsets are more frequent, then don't they become less upsetting?
