Well, I would like to post my greivances that the stadium will be in Sandy for all the reasons stated earlier by me and many other people. I suppose by the time it is finished in however many years I will be over it. By the time I am a grandma it will be moved back downtown where it should have been in the first place. LOL Hopefully by then I will be out of this politically crazy state and in a country that really knows what futbol is!

Until then....GO RSL!

Granted, it probably would have been more difficult to have a positive attitude about a stadium being built in Tooele. But I'd have found a way. Perhaps I could have moved out there to where the property values are much lower and the lifestyle much slower. 🙂
No, it's not bad...I will look at the positives from here on out....just needed my 30 seconds of venting.....

And I could say I'll not buy tickets, but I will and then I would just look stupid (or more stupid than I already do...). And I could say I won't support the area (I do have a "Boycott Miller, The Eagle Killer" T-shirt from the last hockey game, remember that Rabble?), but I have been known to go the Mayan to watch those buggers make crazy jumps. And yes the food sucks.

I will go to the new stadium, and damnit I'm going to go loud. And we're going to help make it the best stadium in existence (other than fenway of course). If the newspapers ever ask me for comment, I'll tell them that Sandy was the perfect choice and I will be happy to drive from Davis County to support this badass team.

And P.S. They better build it strong because we are going to rip it down on a weekly basis. It's going to be so crazy that opposing teams will ****e themselves when they step on the pitch. And then we're going to win and party like there is no tomorrow. And finally, since you live close we're going to go torch the houses of anyone you don't like in your neighborhood. Sandy wanted it....well here we come!

Whoa....okay...so maybe I'm going a little far....the players may not really ****e themselves. :signrocko

This is really starting to remind me of the whining about the name. Nobody besides Uncle Dave wanted the name Real, but when he did it anyway, we accepted it and moved on. I mean sure it is a stupid name, but it is our stupid name and thus part of our identity. I would rather have a downtown stadium as well, but at least we don't have to drive to Nephi for it, which is roughly equivilant to what some of the other poor saps around the league will have to do to get to theirs. Sandy was my last choice, well except for the fairpark, and yet it is the closest to my house. Despite that, I am thrilled that we will have a stadium and hope that it will be the envy of the league.

I'll be there, loud as always.

But I swear right now

that if Dolan or Anderson ever show their face anywhere around there for even a second,

well, you can finish my hollow threat however you want.

The Press Conference is tomorrow, Wednesday at 3pm in the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. That is about 9400 South State.
I'm going to try my absolute best to be there. I'm going to wear my RSL polo. I'll just leave work early. Then after that's finished, I'll head home and get the fam ready for the game. Anyone else going?
