I am afraid that if I vote for no, it will come back to bite all of us.

You must know best. I change my mind... whatever you do... don't vote no. 😉

They have Metrotards and the cRapids

Yep. But that means :

a) We have a game in hand. I'll take that any day. Even if it's the squawking turkeys that are playing well and still hoping to pipe NE for the 1st in the east.

b) They travel to Colorado tonight. A Rapids team that is desperate to not finish 4th (that is, to be the team that only made the playoffs cuz of the expansion teams). And a Rapids team even still has a chance to finish 2nd. Ya, we gotta play them too but it's at home and the last game of the season.
c) Mo's going to have the m-stars running around with fires lit under their butts, probalby literally.
d) San Jose has the west wrapped up and are a single point off winning the supporters shield. They'll also likely be missing Ching, Clark, Califf and Barrett for the USMNT qualifier. On top of that, Brad Davis is unlikely to play (and if he were to, he hasn't had a start since mid-Aug IIRC so....).

It definitely doesn't look good. But we've still got a game in hand and 2 points extra. Surely a win tonight would settle this.

We'll be winnin' tonight, and Chivas will be in last place.

The real question should be, will the crapiss end the season in last place next year? This dread pirate would vote yes. Garrrr.

Chivas tied the Rapids last night. They are now only one point behind us. It would seem that as RSL loses momentum and slouches toward the end the season, Chivas is picking up steam...

Both RSL and Chivas have now lost the same number of games (21). Our season started out with such promise with a feeling of superiority over our expansion brethren. Now, I think we must feel a bit chagrined.

Actually, I doubt that either team will gain more points from here out.

Also, Chivas Jr. might have played better last night knowing that Big Brother was playing after them in Denver (why do you think the CRapids had such high attendance?).

Revealing what the futility we've seen on the field has done to us, we're now left to cheer (hope?) that we don't finish dead last, behind the seemingly congenitally inept cheetos.

I know I started with a few hopes for this season. A playoff spot. At least ten wins. Win the season series with cheetos. Win the RMC. Finish in the upper tier of the league in attendance. Establish a style of play that is aggressive, never-quit--attack hard, defend harder. And, whatever we do, don't finish last.

Well, attendance has been good. Oh, and we're still mathematically alive in the RMC. Right, but we've heard all that mathematical stuff before.

I hope we can finish ahead of them. I hope the players think they can.
