First off its GOL TV not GOAL TV.
Second, although Checketts is a fairly active LDS member and former bishop, I think he just wants to walk the "beer path" slowly. Even the LDS Church is allowing beer sales at its new mall downtown. You wine-bibers just need to be patient. 😉

The 3rd D-News article by B. Rock has some really interesting quotes from Checketts...he cites lack of vet leadership and lack of conditioning as a couple reasons for the "unacceptable" results of this year.
Somehow, I feel better that 1) he gets it, and 2) he will not allow it to continue.

I am glad Uncle Dave feels the way we all do:
"I can't take this," said Checketts, Tuesday night. "I don't know how (the players) feel, but I can't take this. This is very difficult." Unacceptable, really. "We're not going to accept this kind of performance," he continued. "Not under any conditions."

Could lack of conditioning have anything to do with only practicing an hour and half or two hours a day? My son who is in 10th grade football practices 4 hours a day! Maybe he should get paid Cleetus' 400,000! LOL...sounds good to me! I liked that article also. Lets get on the Dave Train!

I think anyone "concerned" about alcohol sales at the new stadium hasn't been in the crowd at RES. There's tons of alcohol out there, without the kind of controls you'd have if you were the concessionaire. I know there's at least one jackhole that sits behind me who gets progressively less coherent and more vocal as the game goes on. If he had to buy his last beer at halftime, I wouldn't be as concerned for the rest of us driving home.

If we want to be authentic, I am pretty sure that the Santiago Bernabeu, like all Spanish league stadiums, does not sell beer.
(Not for religious reasons, because of the "Instant Gilipollas, Just Add Alcohol theory") The Delta Center, the E Center & Franklin Covey all sell beer. So far as I'm concerned, The Home Depot Center is a No Alcohol Zone. At $8 a beer, I'm Clean & Sober in Carson.

The South Towne Expo Center also sells beer.
