I haven't been to the new Lumpy's, but I'm kind of over the whole bar thing...
I would feel like obligated to actually get dressed to go to Lumpy's, but nobody cares if I wear my wife-beater and do my hair all ghetto at Iggy's.

Because both LA and Crapids should be home watching the Metros, Wizs and Crew in the playoffs.

How do you figure the Crew should be in over the Rapids? I'm assuming the point you're making is that the West got the advantage of RSL and Chivas being in their division, which gave them an almost-lock on the playoffs from Week 1, and the advantage of playing each of them 4 times instead of 2. I disagree with that reasoning, but at least it's logical. The problem is taht the Rapids and Crew have played the same number of games, and the Rapids have a 3 point lead. The Crew have played 4 games against expansion teams, the Rapids 5. So at the moment I'd say the Crew and the Rapids are at best equal.

Basically, the Crapids and LA get to pad their schedule with the lesser teams in in the Western. So do Dallas and SJ, but they also get to pad their schedule with Colorado and LA, so that means something.
Lets see how the Colorado record would be if they took on New England, Metros, Chicago and DC 2 more teams each?

Crew have a losing record, basically tied with Crapids in points and they are in the East. How do you figure that says the Craps are better than the Crew?

OK, now you're really stretching. With this logic the East + SJ should be the only teams in the playoffs. With an unbalanced schedule one division is always going to be slightly favored over another. I'm willing to accept the belief that the Western teams had an edge over the Eastern teams because they got to play RSL and Chivas twice as many times and compete for a playoff spot with them. But you can't extrapolate a whole new season based on that. We have no idea how things qould have played out with KC in the West and no expansion teams. Different travel schedules, different injury patterns due to less games, etc. could lead to a completely different set of results. The fact is though, that there's a decent chance that LA is the team that would have missed the playoffs in the West and not Colorado, had there been no expansion teams. Once you start comparing unbalanced schedules (Western teams vs. Eastern teams) you're comparing apples and oranges.
