Ya think?!? Typical sewage spewing from the French. Why in the world would you check 6 yr old urine for steriods??

I figure that if the guy had to take steroids to win the first... how did he win the other six without them? It doesn't make sense. From my understanding your performance goes down once you stop taking 'performance enhancing' drugs. Does another six consecutive wins sound like a drop in performance? Nope. Silly Frenchies. I think they're still mad that the "freedom" corp stole their "fries". ha ha.

This kind of garbage has been coming out of the jealous French press since Lance starting winning the race every year. I'm tempted to go into to a tirade that would really give the profanity filter on this board a run for its money, but will decline on doing so.

I wouldn't be all that surprised if Lance HAS been using a little extra help, but the frogs have been on a witch hunt for 6 years now.

What everyone doesn't know, is that Lance is really a woman.
Now do you think she's been using anything? 😛 __________________

Yeah, there's a bunch of [expletive deleted] going on here. First, the newspaper that published the story is the same one that sponsors the Tour de Lance (there's your reason right there--"It's OUR race, damnit!"), plus Jean Marie Leblanc has been superseded as the "boss" of the race for seven years. Plus now another lab in Canada has expressed surprise that EPO would even show up in a sample from 1999, since it will degenerate, even if frozen, in five or six months.
And, even if EPO were present, Lance wasn't too far away from his cancer treatment, which included EPO (which is a red blood-cell boosting protein, not a steroid) to counteract the chemo. I'm pretty pissed off about all of this (pun intended), but then, I still believe Tyler's clean, too. There's zero-tolerance, and then there's politically motivated witch hunts. If the French could manage to build a good, grass-roots national training program for its young cyclists, they wouldn't have to resort to trying to taint actual athletes. Meanwhile, Richard Virenque, an actual doper, is still considered the last best example of French cycling. Everybody else cheats but us, que non?

Let me remind all of you of a little song that puts this all inperspective... Lance is a champion... they are just sick of Americans beating them at everything... how long did it take them to fall during WW2... and who had to bail their butts out...
The French national motto... "If at first you don't succed... it is much easier to try and dicredit those who do." :bash: __________________ Hurt in a Car Wreck call Robert J. DeBry Last edited by dysko : 08-25-2005 at 01:10 AM. Reason: forgot link to song
