What if Salt Lake City changed its name to Dish, UT? Sending a clear signal
Truth or Consequences, N.M., may now have to share the celebrity stage with a real Dish. EchoStar Communications Corp. announced yesterday that it would offer free programming for 10 years to all the households of the first city or town that changes its name to Dish, the satellite TV service owned by Echostar. It's all part of Dish's new advertising campaign, the company said. In 1950, the small resort town of Hot Springs, N.M., hitched its star to a radio program produced by Ralph Edwards. In that same year, according to its Chamber of Commerce Web Site, the first live coast-to-coast broadcast of the radio program aired from the newly named Truth or Consequences. If SLC changes its name, will our team be called Real Dish or Real Plato? | |||||

Well, a few weeks ago Robert Kirby suggested we rename the state 'Hole'; which would make it Salt Lake City, Hole. We could change it further and be Dish, Hole.
A lot shorter to spell. __________________
