Warm-ups and stretching = good idea.

I stretched before and after on Saturday and my legs felt OK, but my pec's and deltoids ached. I hadn't even thought to stretch them out and those "power" throw-ins I tried to do ripped 'em up! Ouch!!

Are there any plans on having more than one team? And is practice at field C in the West Jordan Complex?

We are going to only worry about one team for right now. We just want to get one organized and running smoothly. Once that is done, we'll take a look at where we are and what we've got and decide from there where we will go with more teams. So, I guess the short answer is maybe.

West Jordan Soccer Complex

Field C at 6:30, Thursday. Right? Do we have enough for even one team right now? And what's the practice schedule like, some drills, a little scrimmage? We need to get some books from the Library like "Soccer Skills", videos, etc. 🙂

Do we need orange cones or anything like that?

Field C at 6:30. Right now we have more than enough people for one team. We'll have to see how things play out before spring.

The practice schedule will depend first on your skill level. The plan is to work with the needs of each individual (to the extent we can), as well as do some group things like short-sided games. I doubt we'll play any full-field for a while. It also depends on your motive for coming - some people are there to get ready for league season in the spring, others are just looking to kick it around, meet people, and have some fun. The plan is to cater to both. I don't feel right pressuring people into doing drills if they're not interested in playing on the team but instead just having fun.

Any equipment like cones would be useful. The coaching side of things is pretty well covered for now so I doubt we'll need books or videos.

I forgot to sign the role last night. Oops.

Fun practice though, especially the 2-2 scrimmage draw. Thanks to everyone for showing up. This is going to be fun.

Great practice. That was a lot of fun. I'm certainly sore today though. It's a good sore though. Hopefully, we can keep this up and then in the future none of us will be sore after a night like that.

One side effect to practice is that I keep hearing these faint moans and groans drifting through the air coming from all over the Wasatch Front. I know I didn't hear it before practice. I wonder what it means.

I think practice went really well last night. :signrocko Other than some rust spots that need a little primer and paint I think we will do just fine in the spring.

Thanks everyone who was there, It was fun and some well needed exercise. 🍺

Aside from breaking my ankle, I had a really good time at practice. As I get better at running these things it should get even better. This has the potential to be a solid team, especially once our conditioning improves.

I'd like to get even more people out to next practice, especially if you're just looking to have a good time kicking it around. Don't be shy, don't be embarrased, we want to see you next Thursday!

I'm on a Utah Soccer yahoo group (although yes, I do not live in Utah).

If you like I could post on there about your practices.

Are they always on Thursday evenings at the West Jordan Soccer Complex?
