i saw the interpreter last night. pretty good movie. the plot takes WAAYYYYY too long to develop however so that made it harder to follow. its mostly a thinker movie, trying to figure out things yourself and make wild guesses as to the involvement of characters, but meh it is was alright.
did you guys watch conan last night as well? ha it was funny, he poked at sw3. supposedly some grade school kids had visited the show a couple weeks before and the conan crew had made up some drawings that the kiddies supposedly had drawn. one of them was a guy had taken them to see sw3. only it wasnt star wars. it was star whores 3: revenge of the syph. i had to laugh at that.

I think that besides SW3 I'm most looking forward to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. With Johnny Depp its got to be interesting (not necessarily good, but interesting...)

Have any of you seen Shaolin Soccer? Funniest movie ever. To me it seemed like a combination of a soccer movie and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (with a funny twist).
If you like movies that are stupid but funny, this one is great.

Agreed. Shaolin Soccer was really funny - my wife didn't appreciate the humor but the kids and I sure had fun watching it. Last night my wife and I watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." Good. Odd, but good.

Pele Planning Escape to Victory Sequel
By Anita Singh, PA Showbusiness Editor in Cannes Football legend Pele is planning a sequel to Escape to Victory. The Brazilian star is in talks to make a follow-up to the 1981 film about a group of Allied POWs who take on their Nazi captors. The original starred Michael Caine, Sylvester Stallone, former Argentina and Tottenham Hotspur player Ossie Ardiles, and the late England captain Bobby Moore. A host of today’s soccer stars could also be signed up to star in the sequel. Pele, 64, is having talks with Freddie Fields, producer of the original film, according to Variety magazine. The man regarded by many as the world’s greatest footballer is in Cannes for the launch of Pele Forever, a documentary about his life. It includes never-before-seen footage of his playing days. Besides Escape to Victory, Pele has starred in several other films and said: “I always think that I would have become an actor if I hadn’t been a soccer player.” He is also working on another script about corruption in South American football. “When I was minister of sport in Brazil, I tried to bring in a law that would make the chairmen of clubs reveal their accounts like other businesses. It was turned down but I think it is an important story that will make a good film,” he told Screen International. http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=4571178
