Thanks for the props. Fuegote, Bardguy, several Jesters & Loyalists have worked at coordinating things for most of the season too.

While others observing on tv didn't notice some non-coordination, I'm sure everyone in the area did. I'd like be RSL fans be the best in the league. Pettiness sure won't help that goal.

We'll get through these growing pains and be stronger for it.

Dysko is right. Keep the focus on our club--that means the club for ALL of us--and we'll be better off a lot sooner. I know for me, I'm an RSL fan first and a Loyalist second. I'm very proud to be a Loyalist, but the club is the reason I'm here.

For what it's worth, for the past ten years I've been in stadiums all over MLS and with the exception of Fire fans there is no other MLS club where the supporters club(s) chants, sings, and stands for the entire game. No breaks, no pauses. Everyone who has been a part of that should be both proud of how far we've come in such a short time and be motivated to take it to the next level.

And always remember that this soccer thing is a blast. I still have no voice left, which was a problem at work today (we're back in SoCal). I can't wait to get back to Utah for another game.

I stayed in the shade until a few minutes before the match started and I guess I missed the confrontation before the game. Only thing I really noticed was an unusual amount of security talking to a few members of each group as I arrived to my seat.

Like a few others have said, we all have to stay on the same page and remember we all cheer for the same team. It's not like a Utah-BYU pointy-ball game where you have fans cheering for opposite sides having trouble getting along. We are all RSL fans and need to be unified to support the team. Fortunately, most of the fans in our corner are getting along fairly well, but there have unfortunately been a few incidents between the various supporters that have put a damper on the festive mood down in sections 32 and 33. Hopefully those of us who have felt mistreated or had hurt feelings can pause for a moment and view things from the other point of view, put aside our differences, and make the NE corner the envy of the league.

We'd love to have you in section 37 if you do decide to leave.

I feel so loved! 😲 So is section 37 ok with loud, potentially vulgar middle-aged women?

Well if Section 37 forms its own supporters club, you can't call it The Exiles.

Prime and I already own the rights to that one. :goodstuff

Just kidding, guys.

One team, one fight.

OK, so maybe I'll have to rework the "fight" part.

Why Can't We Be Friends
War

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I seen you 'round for a long long time
I really 'membered you when you drink my wine

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I seen you walkin' down in Chinatown
I called you but you could not look around

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I bring my money to the welfare line
I see you standing in it every time

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

The color of your skin don't matter to me
As long as we can live in harmony

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I'd kinda like to be the President
so I can show you how your money's spent

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

Sometimes I don't speak too bright
but yet I know what I'm talking about

Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

I know you're working for the CIA
they wouldn't have you in the Mafia

Why can't we be friends?

We need to remember we are all here for Real Salt Lake. let us put all differences aside. for god's sake (mine, maybe not yours) we are spending our weekends together to enjoy something that we DO have in common. and thats a love for a much disliked sport in our country. We should be not be trying to tear each other down, but build each other up for what we do bring to the games.

thats my view. I have never used these threads to talk 'trash' on anyone else. I have never had any problem with any loyalists or RCB or the Jesters for that matter. And I hope we can get things fixed by swallowing some pride or whatever and just support our team. VIVA REAL!

Section 36 has been OK with a loud, definitely vulgar, almost middle-aged Sasquatch. So I think you probably dont have much to worry about.

Well. I posted my opinion of ‘the confrontation’ and was fairly blunt because I was disturbed by what I saw. And the PMs I’ve received agreed with my assessment. This Loyalist/RCB tension needs to be resolved.

But apparently the gossip mill is more concerned with another bad guy – me. Why? Because I asked for my seats. Rumor has it that I was rude when doing do. No, I was not rude. I was trying to be very polite.

There has obviously been a misunderstanding from the beginning over the seating issue. When I asked the FO if they had sold me GA tickets without telling me or if they were reserved, this is the response I received:

“You have reserved seats. If one of the Loyalist’s tries to push you out, you put up a big fight! We’re expecting great things from the loyalist fan section. From those I’ve met, I don’t foresee any one trying to push you from your seats you rightfully own. Should be fun.”

I guess I need to tell the FO they were wrong about the Loyalists.

You know, I’m not a very social person but I do like to be involved in some way. I’ve truly enjoyed making salads and desserts for the tailgate, writing the FAQ, hanging up flyers, selling tickets, rolling streamers, recruiting new Loyalists, posting RSL news at work etc. But, it’s not fun anymore. I guess I’ve had enough. Someone else can take my seat. There are plenty of empty seats in the stadium and I’ll find one of those for the rest of the season.

I’m not a rude person. I never intended to cause problems and I’m truly sorry I hurt Jake’s feelings. Sorry again. Bye guys.

Deweyville, in all fairness, you shouldn't lump all Loyalists together when you've had a bad experience with one or two members. This principle should be applied to these forums as well as with any face-to-face interactions. That's how the whole drama between RCB and the Loyalists began, and to a certain extent continues. The Loyalists, as a whole, stand for something great in relation to the atmosphere and experience of attending RSL games and in supporting the team. Some of its members may have disagreements with each other, but that shouldn't take away from the whole. It's very upsetting to me to see people dropping out of the Loyalists because of individual disagreements that have become associated with the Loyalist brand. It's a complete misdirection of anger/resentment/hostility. I would love to have your seats, and I would stand to gain something personally if you moved elsewhere in the stadium - but that's not what the Loyalists are about - which is what I'm about. Call me an idealist, but "United we stand, divided we fall."

Please reconsider, there is strength in numbers, and we need the strength - as does RSL.
