I gotta say. Kudos to the whole team for putting up with 115-120 degree temperatures on the field. I can't even imagine trying to do anything in that type of heat let alone play soccer!!! I applaud them all!!!

Wow. I didn't realize it was that hot down there (okay, it was sunny enough to actually give *me* a tan but whatever).
There was a big lull in intensity in both halves, but I thought RSL looked much fitter in the second half. The Cheetos were hating it there for a while -- they were resorting to hitting long balls and hoping something would happen.

Sounds like Jason might be out for the rest of the season (NOOOOOO!). Also a little interesting bit about why Arias got his red card--he kicked Dunny in the stomach. Can we start an "Arias is a classless hack" thread to go along with the "Romo is a classless hack" thread? I realize this is soccer, but if you're going to be in a brawl, USE YOUR HANDS! Sheesh.

Well, it's not exactly like our team was taking it lying down. But hey, we got fewer cards than they got, right? According to MLSnet, they had five yellows and one red for the whole game (three of their five during the "incident"). All we had was the one red. It'll hurt to have Super Cletus out again next game.
I thought Chris Brown was awesome. I thougth Jamie, once again, brought a ton of energy onto the field. He was working so hard and creating a lot of good possibilities. Someone said during the last game that he should have passed the ball back to Andy instead of taking a shot... I noticed during this game that he was spreading the balla round a lot in cases where he could have potentially kept the chance for himself. The Loyalists were in excellent form. I saw them for a little while from the north area and it was inspiring. Does anybody have a video of the game that I can borrow? Please? Please? My husband taped it but it didn't turn out. *sob* If we have any other 4:00 games, I think I'll skip the dizziness, sweat and rapid pulse and just sit the entire game in the shady concourse from the beginning. Or maybe keep myself better hydrated.
