Now for the contradictions and confusion regarding the stadium funding and which poll says what!

This may turn into a hugely political discussion and depending on your point of view you will have a current poll or survey to support your view...

I suppose we can have a re-match of the political polls that occurred before the last election and you can now officially quote a poll that supports your opinion... how convenient!
😉

this is the latest poll for all of you that oppose the stadium.
The majority of S.L. County residents also oppose funding the site with public money

Of course this is in stark contrast to last weeks poll which said...

Residents Much More Supportive of Private-Public Partnership to Build Stadium Than Public Models Followed by Many Other Cities

So let the posturing begin!

I found this by accident... actually while looking for a Blitzz Jersey on the internet!

I had no idea a proposed Blitzz Stadium was at such an advanced stage.

If nothing else it is interesting from a historical perspective.

Blitzz stadium

Del Nichols probably still has the drawings and the renderings. They were well done, but the finaceablity was not there. The various cites put up barriers instead of fighting for stadium. Road access, parking spaces per seat and wetland problems certianly did not help. Press reports of 'not lasting a year' were certianly put to rest by the clubs performance--- 2 national championships, playoffs every year and the best attendance in the 3rd division, more than half of the 2nd division and on occasion out drawing some MLS clubs.

The interior space utilisation was excellent and overall it was the cream of the crop for Minor League Soccer. I found a few weaknesses of the design, the use of bleachers (the center with seats) being the biggest. And it was not done by some big out of town company.

Lets give thanks to the Blitzz who really made it possible for Real!

😎

Yeah. Until Del Nichols pulled out, that was the plan. He was going to have his offices in the same building. Great idea...not enough money.
