Someone remind me, how many Senoir Internationals (SI) are we allowed to have?
Because we will have at least 3 maybe 4 when all is said and done here (Selolwane, Scarlet, Cabrera and New Int'l Striker).

(BTW SIs=25 and older international players without green cards; unlike say Andy Williams who does have a green card.)

I hear Michael Owen is looking to move. I mean he is already at Real...

Actually, he has said that he's happy just where he is (I'm a member of 'Michael Owen Online' 😛 )

From a recent news article on the fan site:
Quote:
Michael Owen has reiterated once again that he is happy at Real Madrid and is not considering a move elsewhere this summer. He has been at the centre of transfer speculation despite enjoying a successful first season with the Spanish giants. He has been linked with a possible move back to the Premiership, but remains mystified at the stories.” Look, I've heard all the stories and speculation all summer but I don't know where they come from," said the 25-year-old England star. "I've never wanted to leave Real Madrid and it was encouraging to hear (director of football) Arrigo Sacchi say that I am an important part of his plans this season."

But I would be the first to welcome him with open arms if he changes his mind 😁

I don't doubt that Owen likes where he is, but I do doubt Real Madrid is going to start him this year. They are going to do nothing different this year but bench him, again.

Hey, like I said, I would be the first to welcome him with open arms.

So, do you think they just started him in the game against Galaxy because people would have thrown a fit if he didn't play?

Yes, actually. I love Owen, I think he is a great player. But for some reason Luxemburgo seems to like him on the bench.
Also if you haven't noticed, most of the Euro teams played a lot of bench guys this summer against MLS.
And Owen still makes more than entire MLS. HA!

Really?!? I am shocked. You are a member of a football player's fan club? I can't believe it 😲

Anyway, Figo seems ready to leave...maybe... Maybe the secret striker (although I wouldn't call Figo a striker) Mellor was talking about is Figo? He would fit the MLS big name on the way out profile as well. Go get Figo RSL!!!!

The fact that he said this striker would add to our depth makes me think it will be someone for the bench primarily... maybe someone we've never heard of (except Hiba will probably already be in their fan club!)

Of course I would love it if it were a high-profile guy..

Hey, you know what, it's hard not to know what cars they drive when you go to practices...
