Did anyone else see the "RSL must soon trim 3 players from roster" in today's SL Tribune? .....obviously Leighton is on the chopping block....who else is it gonna be?....It also mentions Robert Scarlett. Am I totally in the dark? I haven't even heard of this guy........

If he would have played like that in the RSL kit, he probably wouldn't be on loan to the Sounders right now.

Four new players coming into the squad, one open spot. We have signed one defender, one midfielder, one defender/midfielder, and rumor has it we are looking at a striker.

The paper had this week's mystery guest indentified as Cabrera, of course they had the wrong guy.

My guess is that O'Brien stays on loan or is outright waived, Benchke gets loaned out or waived, and Washington retires from the game.

Sounds like they'll waive O'Brien and Dipsy.

I still don't know why we hang onto Washington? :wallbash: :dead:

Washington must go

I couldn't agree more...Washington is old and has done nothing to help the team when he has been on the field. Dipsy is young and has potential. I guess we will find out in the next week and a half.

After practice this week I am joining in on the 'save Dipsy' campaign. He most likely knows that he might be cut, but he seemed to be practicing harder this week than I've ever seen him and I definitely see the potential.

I too am a Dipsy fan, and i hope they don't cut him. The times i have seen him play and practice he looks sharp. He needs to get on the field. It is hard to develop the bench if we keep getting rid of people who are potential starters in the next year or two.
