What is there to discuss, RSL SC has to get the 3 pts out of this game since the Crapids will be playing two games this week against the EQuakes and the Wizards. Every game from here on out will be important and difficult to win, even against the Crapids and Goats. :ow:  :ow:

Don't forget that the 9 man Crapids 1-0 win over LA. Anything can happen!

I think we'll have another 40,000+ crowd there for the fireworks. RSL let us down last time there was a crowd that large there (FC Dallas) and they'll be looking to redeem themselves. Mathis will be looking for revenge against his old team and I predict he will finally score a goal. I also predict that this will be the first time that RSL scores on the north goal. These are the only two teams in the league that play on field turf, so expect it to be a hard fought battle and a close game. I predict a RSL win.

Also, what's the deal with the worlds largest pic-nic. Does anyone have any details on that?

I'm too lazy to check.

Will the Mocostars be missing Guevara to Gold Cup duty?

Even better.
Guevara is out for yellow card accumulation.
Razov is still on Injured reserve.
And Ibrahaim is out on injury too.

They might have Meola in goal though...

Big Crowd?

Coach said this morning on 1280 that they are opening up the Stadium, and are expecting on a big crowd. Real evidentally spent $30,000 on these fireworks. Hopefully we will have some goals during the game. Real missed out on June 4 on getting some potential new fans.

The July 4th game is a tradition in only two other MLS cities. LA and Colorado get these games every year because they've always had big crowds and big fireworks shows.

Now, we all know 50,000 don't show up in Denver to see the CRapids. But they've had crowds well over 50K several times, so the folks do show up for that one game.

I'd like to see RSL get this game every year, and if we pack the house and put on a show, it could happen. It's like playing pointy-ball on Thanksgiving--only a couple of teams get those games, and they're now a tradition.

Besides, it's a blast to have our own party on the 4th.

And you're right--this is another opportunity to show how entertaining RSL and Major League Soccer can be.

Should be good.

Except for me, Prime, and all the other exiles who won't get a TV feed.

Doesn't really matter. I have to go to work on the night of the 4th.
So I will be looking forward to Dadof8's call.
Unless Rover wants to do it. Considering I can barely hear the callers over the roar of the crowd, Rover over the internet listening to the radio might be easier...
What do you think Rover?

Aha... I wondered why the seat-cover banners on the east side had all been taken down!

Right on.
