Understood Ska. I was just under the impression that Loyal1 was offering Fuegnote "a" VP position, not "the" VP position. I could be wrong, but dysko was elected as the VP many moons ago.

But this is off-topic, this thread is for RCB to develop their club. Good luck to you guys and keep being loud!!!

Here's my final say on the matter. I realize that was has been said has been said and what has been done has been done. The only thing left for us to decide now is how we want to procede from here. I hope that we will all start looking towards the future and not towards the past. Each of us has a choice to hold a grudge or forgive and move on. I am going to choose to learn some lessons from the past, but look towards the future. I hold no grudges towards anyone at all because of any of this. I hope that we can all say the same thing. We have a real opportunity to form something special here in the future with two great supporter groups. I truly hope that is what happens. The Loyalists and RCB could do great things together. Here's to hoping that happens.

Right, the one time I used the word 'the' I was refering to 'the VP position Loyal1 offered to Fuegote, other than that I always said "a VP".

When was the Loyalists vote on elected leaders?

Way back before there even was a team. The Loyalists were founded right after the anouncement that SLC would get a team. Then we had some meetings (similar to the RCB, actually) and we started getting organized, we originally had two co-presidents (but that was done with a very small group of original founders), then when we had some more members, and were able to get them together, we had a meeting in which we actually voted for the leadership. You can probably still find the notes for that meeting on the Loyalists Website (at least I think it is there somewhere) along with the voted on Mission Statement. When they had the "Naming" event, we had a (semi) organized contingent there. I was not one of the original founders, but was aware of what was happening and got involved shortly thereafter.

Most of this is still on the Loyalist site, under Mission Statement, and Meetings. There used to be a picture of the original founders, but I didn't see it when I just checked.

As for meetings, I do not believe many of the other MLS supporter clubs have many meeting "during" the season. At least the ones I have looked into. Thats mainly why the Loyalists don't have group meetings (besides tailgating and away watch parties) during the season.
FYI
And yes Jim is correct, the Loyalist leadership vote happened around August/September of 2004. I have the emails saved from that time if anyone wants an exact date (aka ask me then I'll spend the time to look for them).
Sorry for going off-topic again.

For your viewing pleasure:

This is the group from the first meeting on July 23. The founders are from left to right: Glenn Webb (co-president), Scott McAllister, Amber McAllister, John McCall (LA Galaxian), Wade Bills, David Hale (co-president), and the local newspaper writer (Deseret News)/soccer junkie James Edwards. Not pictured but was present for the meeting was Merrill & Shantell Page.

Hey guys, at some point, once our groups get bigger (maybe next year or something) we should think about getting one person to lead the chants so that we are together. Fuegote and Loyal1 worked well together last game but when we grow bigger it may become more difficult. Something like this (notice the guy standing on the fence in front of the crowd)

Chicago has a guy standing in front of Section 8 leading their cheers too.

That's pretty cool, except that poor sap doesn't get to watch the game. :upset:

It looked to me like that wasn't a problem for him. I'm not convinced he even knew he was at a soccer game.

Same guy was up on the stand for their last game.

Dedication.

I agree the last game was the best yet in coordinating between sections 32 & 33. I am going to move up closer to Glenn to assist him so he doesn't have to all the heavy lifting, and I don't have to yell up from the front row when my voice is already shot.

What about the idea of making the corner, etc. where we are sitting something like the umbrella of Chicago's Section 8? We already basically have 3 groups going. Any ideas for an umbrella name?
