I must agree on this....It is like coming out with a book but the ending chapter is missing.

I just like the rest of the RCB hope you acheived what you set out to do. Because from my perspective we did not get anything we wanted to acheive done.

I hope that the loyalist can f :notworthy eel better about the RCB....are intentions were and are good...what team do :content: es not want to have more supporting groups?

I appreciate the posts that were civil and worth reading...

I just don't and will not see what the big deal was in the first place...when we say we will tell you in due time...I think we ment it...

Oh well...hopefully next time our wishes will be somewhat respected.

Go RSL

OK....please don't shoot me for this boys.....

So, correct me if I'm wrong, you want a "group" where there are no women allowed...no families....and not everyone is welcome.....

Thats just the impression that I get. If thats the case, I say go for it. Honestly. I just wish we all didn't have to bash each other just because we have different opinions/lifestyles/personalities.

I'm a wife/mother who LOVES to watch soccer. I love to cheer and heckle. I've been known to have a bit of a potty mouth when I get "worked up" at a bad call. My kids, do as I say, not as I do.....(thats a joke ppl.....laugh.....) I think certain players are "cute" but for the record, I think my hubby is the cutest of all. When I'm at the game, I'm there to watch the game......I love it. All of it. I don't sit with the loyalists, but I will ALWAYS be a paying member as long as I'm welcome. I'm there to support the team...not the loyalists...(even though I love you guys!!). I think the more supporters RSL has, the better....but we need to be accepting of each other. Otherwise it defeats the purpose.

Sorry, I wanted to put my two cents in......

You're wrong 😉
women, and families are allowed if so desired. Just know there's a lot of people who can't/won't take a 2 year old or two month old to a game. that usually leaves one there and one at home. I can't wait for my wife to join me later this month, and you'll see, she's just as loud as I am

I'm sure you did, the only problem was that there was already so much suspicion and mistrust that it was too late for in due time.

You guys would have preferred to take your time. Some of us would have preferred you just mention it in the beginning so that imaginations didn't take off and create a monster.

You did get one thing you want. You now have a bonafide, recognized second, or third if you count barra brava, supporters group for RSL. You also now have everyone backing off and allowing you to build your group in peace. I guess that is two things.

My wife and newborn baby will be making their debut on the 4th as well!! It sounds like we may have a large turn-out!!

All 5 of us will be sitting in the Loyalists section. Interestingly enough, the two season tix I have are for row 18, but the two that I bought for my wife and son for the game on the 4th are on row 6 or 8. How did that happen? :P

Well, I guess I am an advocate of letting groups of people do what they want on their timelines. I don't see why anyone would feel that The Rogue Cavaliers Brigade "have" to answer to them...it comes across as just bullying. Especially because it did not even come from the Loyalists leadership, just some of the hard-core Loyalists membership (not that there is a reason RCB would 'have' to answer to the Loyalists leadership either...but if the requests came from them it would have had a different feel to them). The fact that people would start imagining monsters still bewilders me, and the fact that others have to answer for imaginary monsters is really bewildering. It is just so, well, communist. :tank:

That was a well-intentioned joke...

But I will say that from my perspective the relationship between the two groups is not better off for how this has played out.

Okay...since we are throwing ideas out I will say the following (with the caveat that the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade isn't even finished getting organized yet and I am just a member, I don't speak for the RCB)...I think that any relationship between the two groups would have to meet the following standards:

1. No one group answers to, or is a subset of, the other.
2. If a third group is ever established to coordinate between the Loyalists and the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade (and other potential future supporters clubs) the leadership of that group would have to not include members of the currently active leadership of the supporters clubs. In other words, if Joe Support was president of the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade, he could not also be the RCB delegate to the coordination group.

I appreciate that Loyal1 offered Fuegote to be a VP in the Loyalists today when he went to visit him at Fuegote's house, but I think that ultimately that would not have been helpful to what either group is trying to accomplish. The Rogue Cavaliers Brigade operates as a democracy and will have elected leadership, not leadership appointed by the Loyalists hierarchy. I don't think that it will be incongruous for individuals to hold membership and even voting rights in both groups, however.

However, I still maintain that it is way too early to be discussing this in any detail. I would like to see the effort that many are putting into this effort go to things that will make the individual supporters clubs stronger. For example, what if everyone who has posted about the RCB in the last 24 hours had instead made a contribution to make the Loyalists web page better? Or had emailed friends to get them to join a supporters club? Or had found a corporate sponsor for their supporters club? All of those are things that should come before worrying about the formal relationships between the Loyalists and the Rogue Cavaliers Brigade.

Well so far this thread has been an interesting read. However I would point out that Glenn, Dave and Steve were all "elected" as leaders of the Loyalists. I am not sure what your definition of a democracy is, but elected officials would be a important element.

I think you misread the context of that. What I was saying that although Loyal1 meant well by offering Fuegote the VP position in the Loyalists as a way to bring the two groups together, Loyal1 doesn't pick who the RCB leader is...that will come from the membership of RCB. If the RCB ever get to the point of needing a "special envoy to the Loyalists", I believe that will be decided on by the RCB membership as well, probably looking at who works well the Loyalists of course. Whether it is appropriate for the Loyalists President to make offers like that (which is what I understand your reply to me to be addressing) is of course an issue for the Loyalists to decide on in whatever way they see fit, but that was not what I was intending my comments to be applied to.
