A lot of what that writer wrote is what I was feeling. I think Clint is goal constipated. Just wait until he gets some laxative and watch him explode. (Sorry, if you didn't like the metaphor.) I'm glad that Mathis is happy here in Utah and I hope that the negativity of some fans doesn't discourage him. Well, he's a pro so I don't think it would. Thanks for a great read.

Does Cleetus still lead the team in assists?

Cint's too good not to be scoring some of the time. I really think he's going to score (and score a lot) very soon.

I realize that. The man's got skillz, but he's not even shooting! Is he fat/slow/old? Something's wrong. I went and looked up all that data to see if I could see what's going on. Near as I can tell, either something must have happened overseas to make him hesitant to shoot or he's lost drive.

He hasn't been anywhere near the goal mouth, just like the rest of the team. It's hard to score when you are stuck around midfield due to no consistent build up of attack.

I'm just wondering if you want him to start doing good or if you want RSL to cut him. I think the best thing we can do as fans is encourage him while he's out there playing. He's 28 years old, hardly past his prime. I'm not sure what the point of all the Mathis bashing is.

Not bashing, not bashing. I'm looking at the numbers, that's was the only point of my post. Numbers don't lie, I was just trying to figure out what the problem is. You have to admit, there is clearly a drop off in production.

He just hasn't been the same player since his injury in New York.

I don't know why--he still shows some of the old skill every so often. But it's been just about nonexistent this year.

Trust me, I want the guy to succeed. We need him to perform.
