No I am not happy about the drought...

here is my idea on what should be done....

in the minute we tie the record we make as much noise as humanly possible... Drums, cowbells, horns, air horns, bullhorns, miraccas(sp?) sing ALL WE SAYING IS GIVE US A GOAL for that minute then when and if the minute comes that we surpass the record everyone abruptly stops everything no noise no drums singing, noise makers....NOTHING!!!! we all sit down!!!
for an entire minute! then resume our normal stuff after the minute...

I like that idea too.

The thing that made me think of paper bags on heads is the sense of embarrassment that we should be feeling, and will be if we break the record.

I like this idea much better than a bag over our heads.

I lose my voice at about the 80 minute mark in every game. I've now broken 4 drumsticks on those damn cowbells. I've had blisters on my lips from blasting the trumpet. I'd love to crank it up to 11, but unfortunately my speakers aren't the kind that the guys from Spinal Tap use. My max is just a lowly 10.

I am embarrassed as well, but I guess that if continuing to support them despite my embarrassment makes me a cheerleader rather than a fan/supporter, I'll wear that label with pride.

Keep it up. You can only give your all. Nothing more can be expected.

How about we do Deuce's idea, and during the minute of silence those of us that want to will throw a bag on our head? It would definitely show how savvy we are if we don't just pass by as if we had no idea that we have set the record for consecutive sucking.

I guess what I'm asking is will it offend anyone if some of us bag it, like the "bird man" offended people? Or is it just that you'd prefer not to?

By the way I am glad this has not turned into personal attacks or anything like that, great job everyone to keep this a good discussion.

Instead of the bags on the heads, which I think could be misread as overall embarassment and not as the intended just embarassment for the streak. Maybe we could chuck a stuffed Monkey on to the pitch. Monkey off our back kind of a thing...

Dang it - I was just about to call you rotten names, but now I guess I'll hold it in... 😉
