It'd be funnier if he read the fan fiction being created about him! :D

ok so i am chiming in late on this one

Back to the streamers....I guess I have a slightly different take. I have just seen too much crazy fan behavior before...flares, coins, etc being thrown on the field that I would just prefer to stay completely away from throwing things on the field. I think throwing confetti and streamers in the stands while not as exciting would be preferable. I wish I could make a more cogent arguement against the streamers but it is just a feeling I have after seeing so much bad fan behavior that I wouldn't want the loyalists and real salt lake to be associated with that at all. Especially since not everyone knows that streamers are ok. Sometimes these games are televised nationally and I am sure that not everyone knows that the security have an unofficial rule that streamers are ok. I would hate for the reputation of the fans to be tarnished for a misunderstanding. And I wonder if us throwing streamers might lead the "dorks" to be more likely to throw other more harmful objects onto the field. Just my two cents late as they are.

❓

So a solution may be to try and not throw any streamers on the field. No big deal if one slips down there because it's a little too long, but I think it's clear that if some dork who doesn't know any better sees anything on the field, that person may be more inclined to throw other crap as well. Yes/No?

Yep.

I agree, we should be careful about throwing stuff on the field - even if RES people say it's OK.

Of course some of this has to do with WHEN items are thrown. After a goal is scored, the only thing being thrown is streamers. But the crowd is upset over a questionable call or nasty foul by an opponent, I don't see streamers, but that is when other debris is being thrown.

Confetti Blaster

Hi,

When I was in L.A., they had some form of confetti blaster and it was great!

It did come from "on High" and would come right down in the center of the field. I wouldn't be surprized to learn it was done by someone in L.A.'s front office.

It increases the fun and is not hazardous. You might want to check this out.
I tought it was great.

A confetti blaster would be cool. I wonder how much one of those costs.

Just doing a quick search, they have some small handheld ones that look like they would do the job and cost around $50. Like this one

Then there's little things like this for under $2.
