Okay, so back to the streamers...
If they are okay, then maybe we could do more to promote them. We could contact the front office about having them available for purchase at the games(casual fans are not going to think to bring streamers to a game). If that doesn't work, I like the idea of someone buying tons of streamers to bring to the game, and then 'giving them out in exchange for money'.

Just a thought, but little things like this would quickly make it a tradition! :D

I don't think the FO can allow you to sell things in the stadium, even if it is not for a profit. Maybe we could gather donations from loyalists and somebody could see if they can get a good deal buying them in bulk?

Or someone could see if someone would donate them to us.

Maybe we could sell them across the street from the stadium. Don't we have a Loyalist with a house right across the street from the Trax station? We could have someone holding a sign about the streamers for sale on the sidewalk or something. Just a thought.

If we all bring a bunch of streamers and distribute them, then there will be a lot of them. That also plants the idea in other non-dorks who will bring/distribute streamers at the following game.

Just please refrain from the dorkacity.

They can't be very expensive. Unless we want to use them as confetti, we will have to keep the rolls together next time.

$.50 a piece at Wal-mart. And yes I have learned from experience that you just have to throw the whole roll, the parceled out pieces do wind up being like a few large pieces of confetti.

Confetti would be cool too, but it would have to be thrown from somewhere high...or ejected by one of those confetti blasters like they had at the name unveiling. Throwing it from our low level seats would be pretty useless though.

❗ Rant About Being A Good Fan

The FO asked me about it... I reminded them that I have media obligations during the games and didn't know much about it. I told them that I was sure that it wasn't anyone in the Loyalist section and if it was Loyal1 could probably help them out...

When it comes to being a dork... throwing things isn't the only way to do it. If you get so slobbering drunk you can't avoid running into other poeple you are also a dork.

I would like to take this occasion to remind people that the Loyalist wan't to create a family friendly atmosphere. This may open a new debate, but in my mind that means, among other things, the following:
1. Don't get slobbering drunk at the game or tailgate, wait till the after party at SkyBox (aka know your limit if you choose to partake and stay a drink or two under it).
2. Don't cuss (yes I understand that there are different interpretations of this, but be considerate of others).
3. If you wouldn't want me to throw it at you don't throw it on the field.

If you have any questions about what the Loyalists stand for read this... Loyalists Supporters Group Mission Statement

Anyway enough from me... just remember that anything you do or say while at games, Loyalist functions or while wearing RSL gear can and will be used to decribe not only you, but the group, the team and the sport we love. So don't be an idiot.

Wow, I really got on roll there didn't I. 🙂
