I tried to do this last game but as I was bouncing, I'd look around and notice only Mr. Stucki joining in. I'll try again this week

I'm not sure how much I will be able to do that this week. I injured my leg playing softball last week. Curses.

I will probably be late for the game anyway, as I will be at the state track meet until, well whenever it ends.

dysko, did/do you run the 800? Hardest race in all of track, imo. I've never seen more people puke after a race than after the 800.

400 and 300H for me. Boy that was a long time ago.

In the San Jose game we did throw streamers onto the field right over the RSL team bench and no one batted an eye. If many more people start doing it I don't think anyone will make a fuss. It's paper! How's it going to hurt anyone?

What if everyone just holds on to the end of their streamer when they throw it, and then reels it in when it lands? Then there isn't any mess for anyone, even the stadium staff, to worry about. And it still looks cool.

I had a 1:58 open, 1:57 in a relay when I was in high school. But the 800 is the race I loved to hate. I loved it because it was a challenge... hated it because it makes you want to puke (although I never did after a race, only in practice).

How do you guys think the streamers went today? I brought red this week, but I think that I'll do gold next game. There's already so much red in the crowd, it'll be a nice contrast. BTW, I was one of the face painters handing out streamers before the game. I'll bring some Wednesday if you're interested.

Personally, I thought there could have been more 🙂

Maybe 2 or 3 colors instead of just red.

You're totally right. I thought that more people would bring them, hopefully Wednesday.
