Bring streamers to Galaxy game

I sit immediately behind the RSL bench. Two guys in my section threw streamers onto the field after the first goal of the Colorado game. The substitutes didn't seem to mind having streamers draped over their shoulders, and no security personel approached our section. The PA announcer did remind everyone not to throw anything on the field later in the match, however, so maybe in the future they will take action.

When RSL gets their own stadium, maybe rules about such things will change...

How about if everyone throws them upwards? Not only do we not want to peeve the stadium people, but I think it looks ugly to have stuff all over the field. Let's just all throw them the opposite direction (upwards in the seats)

That would be a good idea except for that fact that there's going to be some idiot that says, "Look they're throwing stuff. I got something to throw..." Next thing you know stuff starts getting thrown on the field.

The problem with that is you would be throwing them towards other people's faces instead of the back of their heads. More risk of somebody getting hit in the eye. I like the idea of throwing streamers from the upper rows if there is any way to keep them from going on the field. What would the stadium clean-up people think?

If they are the same guys that were at the stadium doing work in the stands during practice chanting "Chivas, Chivas" the other day, I say we make as big a mess as possible. 😉

(I am only kidding here. I'm not advocating making a huge mess in the stadium.)

But a little bit of a mess more than normal would be a proper tribute to the Goat sniffers that were in the stands on Tuesday!

I found Red, Blue & Gold streamers(181ft each) at Wally-World (aka walmart) for $.48 a roll. I got two of each color!

So just wanted to let all you streamer throwers know where you can get some, should you choose to be a streamer thrower.

Be careful ...

I'd be very careful, I actually find it quite annoying when things are blowing all over the pitch during a game, maybe at the end of the game we could all throw the streamers if we win then we're throwing them in joy, if we lose we try to cover the Galaxy in so much paper they'll have to learn origami to get out from under it all. Besides that I think it'll look cooler if everyone does it at the end of the game, almost a show of support and defiance no matter the result.

On another note, I wish our Loyalist section would start bouncing in unison. We haven’t really done that much. The little that we did it last match got caught on TV and it looked cool…
