Pirates vs. Smurfs

Did anyone else catch the F.C. Dallas, Chicago Fire match? Worst kits ever! Dallas was sporting a red and white horizontally striped pirate shirt and the Fire had on a "powder blue" kit that looked like something found in a neo-natal nursery. When I think of fire, colors such as red, yellow, orange, and black come to mind. Baby blue? Whatever.

I was totally digging on the FC Dallas pirate shirts... arrrrrrrrgh matey!

I think somebody noted that the Chicago shirts were based on the city flag, but if you didn't know that it just looked like they blended into the light blue walls at the Cotton Bowl. Which was weird.

I guess this is just different tastes. I really liked both of those kits.

I'm still getting used to the Dallas kits. But I thought the Chicago one's were a classy homage to the city flag.

I thought that the Fire were the home team at first because their unis matched the seats.
Off topic, does anyone else wish MLS would list the home team first/on top like they do in Europe?

Yes. And I wish they'd list records as W-T-L instead of W-L-T. I always get so confused. Of course, it doesn't take a lot to confuse me sometimes.

Games on FSC, home team first. Games on ESPN, home team last. What was it on KSL, by the way?

i agree with the W-T-L, i get confused too. slowly MLS is starting to act like its european counterpart. its only a matter of time.

Remember when the clocks counted down?!?!?!

I liked them both also. I love the hoops of the FC team. I thought it was classic that Chicago went with the colors of the city flag with the four red stars. The cRapids should have gone with the green hoops instead of changing to black and blue. Oh well, that is the cRapids. 🙄

GOReAL SC!!!!!!

FYI the Smurfs are the SJ Earthquakes, so update your mock-tionary.

Last I saw, the Quakes were not the ones wearing baby blue. I understand the cute connotation with "earth" sounding like "smurf", but I was referring to the more obvious visual relevence of the Fire's physical apprearance and how it resembles a Smurf.
