USA Today Mock Draft (for what it's worth)

Mock drafts are as good as anyone else's guess, but they're fun. I added the salaries from SI.com.

Good find. Everyone's got their idea of how it will go, sometimes completely opposite from one another. Unfortunately the one constant is that everyone seems to think we'll pick up Agoos. I fervently hope that does not occur.

Do you really think RSL would consider taking on Joe-Max Moore's fat contract? That's one I thought might be a good vetran pick up, until I saw the price.

If I were in charge, I'd only drop that kind of cash on a good center midfielder, a) because they're so crucial and b) they seem to be in short supply these days.

I really would be surprised to see RSL sign "GI Joe" (as they called him back in his Everton days), though. I just can't see Joe-Max and Jason up front together as a long-term partnership, especially for the money it would take to bring him here.

I guess USA Today is entitled to their opinion.

3 from SJ & Chicago?
I've never heard of this Buete guy. Maybe that's why my opinion isn't being asked.

Taking Moore will draw my first complaint. The difference between Moore & Preki is Preki had a good year recently. (ignorant of salaries)

Andy Williams is a guy on the list I'd grab.

Paul Broome! Maybe I'm biased, but he's younger & better than Agoos.

Does anyone recall any problems between Kreis & Nhleko?

Joe Max Moore at that salary? I don't want to hate on my fellow Orange County Boy, but that's not good value.

Is Ryan Nelsen out of contract and about to go to England or did he take Peter Nowak's parking spot?

Meola is fisherman and he'd like being close to the Provo River & Strawberry Reservoir.

Dittos to Loyal, we should take Andy Williams.

Once again, I'm showing my Galaxy bias; but I'd like Saragosa & Franchino as our D Mids. Has Franchino been hurt?

I really hope this guy has no idea what he's talking about. Those are some terrible picks IMO. I would freak out if we took Agoos. I like JMM but he's not worth the $$. And why would we pass up Andy Williams? The only guys on that list who would make good picks are Walker and Selowane. But those should be at the end, since neither is likely to become protected.

Soccer America reported that RSL wants Countess and Chivas want Walker. I guess the hard part is that if RSL picks Williams the Fire will protect Countess. I wonder of Steve Pastorino might call his old team and say, "if you guys protect Countess we're taking Ring." Ring seems preferred there so it might work out for them.

MLSnet.com Mock Draft

The staff at MLSnet.com doesn't seem to think we'll get Agoos. But, they do think we'll go for Countess. I know that Countess is a great young keeper, but is he ready for a starting role?

Matt Taylor played well for KC during the regular season. He just had an off game in MLS Cup.

MLS does not think we will pick Reggae Boy Williams, I know MLS has to approve all moves so does this mean that this is what is going to happen because MLS says so (or suggests it)

Hmmmm! It will be interesting to see any way!
