Frankly, I'm not sure which one to pull...but one of them needs to go.

Okay, Williams hasn't changed any games w/ RSL with a great pass. He hasn't exactly had a lot of quality runs to work w/ either. There is plenty of precedent for his ability when he was in Chicago though.

I very much agree w/ the fact that Mathis and Williams are very similar players and having both of them on the field at the same time really makes the energy in the midfield a bit suspect.

Genius!! They should sub for each other! That way we can go to a 3-3-4 with only one of them in the attacking mid position at a time. Keep two ball-controlling FW's on the wings with Washington in the middle for the crosses!

I can see it now! RSL 5 - 1 SJ :D

Is the 3-3-4 the same as a 4-3-3? I hope so.... :D

We already tried a 4-3-3, actually, and called it a 4-5-1. Of course, the big difference is that we had Kreis there in the middle. Wonder how it would work w/ Dante in the middle and two others (Watson? Kreis? Brown? not Mathis.)

I think we've seen just about every formation possible so far. Hopefully one of them works eventually.

No worries. I have trouble with basketball. I once got a 2-1-2 backwards.

He said that the team is still together in the locker room. They saw improvements in the last game against LA. They just aren't getting the bounces right now. Things will get back on track soon.

He talked about how his main purpose when he comes in is to just be an energizer. That's what Coach has asked him to do.

He also expressed his disappointment not to be in the Netherlands with the U-20 team. He had a great relationship with Rongen but Schmid wanted to go in a different direction. He is looking forward to the Olympics and really wants to make that roster.

He is a Dallas Mavericks fan and thinks that the Jazz should draft Raymond Felton over all of the other point guards because he is the best. I don't think it had anything at all to do with the fact that they both went to North Carolina though. 🙄

You can go out to the 1280 the zone website and grab the mp3 of the Hatch & Hollywood show. The interview starts about 65 minutes into the show for those who don't want to listen to the entire thing.
