Don't abuse this, but if you have anything worthwhile to say, send him an email (although it's probably too late for the Sunday notebook thingee...)

Thanks Jules, I'm all over it.

The more positive info we can give him the better.

This is not the best publicity for RSL.

This story made Boner Candidate #1 on the Radio From Hell show this morning.
Apparently fans of RSL are being labeled Hooligans now!

Curious though, the article says the legislator didn't take pictures or report it to the police, yet the Trib got this article out about it. So he didn't call the cops but he did call the paper? Fishy.

this is my take on the whole thing! a copy of my post at BS...

Also the fact he did not report it to police is extremely fishy, and just lays more weight to the "headline whore" label that is being leveled at Mr. Bramble!

I would think that the person that did this is a teenager looking to be funny... or someone that thought they would try to play the soccer "hooligan" to bring bad publicity to soccer, because I seriously doubt a true fan of RSL would drag the name of the team down like that!

And for Bramble to "grab headlines" with reporting it... making his family come across as the victims of "Chalk Grafitti and an over-size Soccer Ball" is a laugh in itself...

Cos all kids are frightened by over-sized soccer balls...! which begs to question; if his wife and kids are frightened by an over-sized soccer ball then they have other more serious issues to deal with...

Now I am not condoning the action of the individuals that did this childish thing but let's be serious... in the realm of soccer hooliganism this is a pure and simple joke!
and yes I would be angry if someone did this to my house but frighted... and victimized... I think not!

a message to whoever did this...
1) Grow up!
2) Don't use the teams name in your childish pranks.
3) Grow up!

Really weird that he didn't contact the police. Although on one radio station this morning they reported that police are now watching the house...

I'd take it seriously if I were in his shoes. I was afraid some dumb fan would make a fool of himself and make us all look bad. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Sure you would take it seriously, and you take it seriously by reporting it to the police. If someone vandalized my house like that and scared my family I would be helping the police get the ppl responsible.
I don't think he is taking it seriously by not only not calling the cops but by not taking pictures....did anyone then see the vandalism?

It's a little more than fishy if you ask me. What an idiot! He is more interested in seeing his name in the papers than he is in protecting his own family. He should be held up as the poster boy for what gives politicians their terrible reputations. Anything for a headline.

Is there anyway that we can call him on his story?
