I'd suggest setting a target date to close the league, so that we don't have the same problem again. Just set if for next week or whatever, and then anyone else who wants to join will have to wait until the end of the season.

Let's do it! I'm open for any friendlies 🙂 (if you can call them that).

Okay, I applied for the new league and it looks like we already have 11 other active people so that gives us 12. This is going to be fun.

Okay, we are now at 13 players. I want to give enough time for anyone else to join, so I am setting an absolute deadline of 8 am EST on Wed.

If you want to convince, cajole, or strongarm others into joining our league, please get them in by Wed. morning.

The card-carrying Loyalist who ends the season with the best record will get lunch on me at Curry in a Hurry. (Well, not on me, but paid for by me.)

14 players! I must admit that I don't know a couple of them, but I think that will be okay, right? I think they stumbled over from the other league I am in.

The season has not even started and the hijinx are already in full force!

The season has started!

14 teams, in two divisions.

Cup play will start in a few weeks. The reason for that is that if you don't have exactly 8, 16, 32, etc... teams in the league the most highly ranked teams automatically advance to round 2. In order for that to get decided on more than one game I have to delay the start of the Cup. The down side of that is that for a couple of weeks there will only be one league match per week, but that leaves plenty of time for friendlies.
