Online soccer games

Hi guys
I saw some discussion og Hattrick and Managerzone so I thought I would give the subject its own thread.

I play 3 different ones (I say "play" losely, I log in a couple of times a week at best).

Here they are:
Hattrick (my team is Orlando United)
http://www.hattrick.org
ManagerZone (my team is Orlando United)
http://www.managerzone.com
OSM (my team is KC right now)
http://www.onlinesoccermanager.co.uk/

Anyone else?

My Hattrick team name is Wasatch Front, been playing since 10/03. I really like the supporter feature with the bookmarks/federations/supporting teams etc... I actually started a Regional Federation covering the Intermountain West (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming).

I'm hooked on it. Thankfully work allows me internet access, so I'm always on from 4am to about 1230pm.

I've been playing Managerzone for a year or so. Edgewood FC. I'm not a paying user, but I really like their game. I have tried a lot of others in the past, but enjoy Managerzone the most.

I even started writing my own online soccer (and other sports) manager game at one time. Fun stuff...

Are there any good fantasy soccer leagues other than what MLSnet offers?

OSM is a mix between Fantasy MLS and ManagerZone/Hattrick.

I've never tried something like this. How do they work? And how much time do you have to devote to them?

Depends on how competitive you want to be. Hattrick can be pretty involved and time consuming if you allow it to be. Or it can be as easy as a few logins a week.

I win all the time in Hattrick and only login once a month 😉

ManagerZone (MZ) is my favorite. Essentially you get a team in a Division in a Nation. MZ treats every Nation's league as the Europe model, promotion and relegation. You start off with about 20 players of varying ability and a small amount of cash. You design formations, tactics and line-ups. You can sell/buy players on a Worldwide market. You can train your own players and even start spitting out your own players thru an Youth Academy.
Its great fun and I login at least 4 or 5 times a week.
In MZ unlike Hattrick and OSM, there is a large American community. Check out the website here http://www.mzusa.net
If anyone has any other questions about MZ, let me know.

How much does it cost? And how difficult would it be for someone that has only followed soccer without really paying any attention to specific players? Do you have to keep track of the entire world soccer scene to know all of the players?
