From the presser, it sounds like Pastorino is trying to convince Checketts to use the DP slot.

So at least they are looking into it.
If they have no intention of ever using it, I hope they trade it for some good existing MLS players.

Or does that clog up the middle too much? I'd really like to see Medhi stay in the opening lineup, and it seems to me that our experiments with him on the left last season didn't work out all that well.

That is more of what I was thinking the line-up would be. And, Medhi will have to play center or attacking mid. Having him out in the wing on some of the games made him less effective. He can help control the attacking capabilities by his great vision and passing ability, and that can only be accomplished by continually letting him handle the ball in the center.

The difference I see is, I see them either sticking with Andy on Left wing or using Kreis over there. Unless, Forko has a boost of attacking power over the offseason, he will be used for defensive purposes. And, I just haven't seen Novak used on the left side, so I just don't think of him playing left side.

The scary thing is, they started last year with a 3 defensive back, and had trouble with defensive responsibilities. Not to mention the trouble they had in transition from defense to offense in the back. However, when they switched to a 4 man back (with Forko and Novak), it changed their season. The Backline was firm and Side Backs made it near impossible for any crosses to come cleanly. However, this very well could have been contributed to Talley's move to midfield.

Oh well, I am just glad to see that RSL each year is making great additions. And, I now believe this team can finish first in the West. And the Revs always lose in the Championship, so we will beat them for our first MLS Cup. Oh, how I like dreaming!!!

I wouldn't think so. He couldn't cut in the UAE.

We know Rimando is gone now, but what officially is a "future consideration" mean? Is it... we scratched your back, now scratch ours.. give us Mehdi?

Also, looks like Nelson Akwari wanted more money as he is no longer with the team.

If I remember right, we got Jason Kreis from Dallas for "future consideration", which meant a future draft pick. I'm not sure if the draft pick RSL would get depends on how much Rimando plays for the Red Bras or what else it would depend on.
