I was perusing some of the transactions Real has made and some have been curious at best. These are a blast from the past.
To FC Dallas Future considerations for Jason Kreis A youth spot to Chivas for Jeff Stewart Dipsy Selolwane and Evan Whitfield for a third-round 2005 selection and a second-round 2006 pick to Chicago An expansion slot to LA Galaxy to move up and pick Nolly FC Dallas has traded the rights to former Burn defender Brian Dunseth to Real Salt Lake for a 2007 4th round pick. Dunseth, who was last with Dallas in 2003, has been playing in Sweden and his return to MLS to play for Real Salt Lake required movement of his rights from his last team. MLS teams retain the rights to players that leave the league for two years. The Colorado Rapids acquired a conditional 2007 Second Round MLS SuperDraft pick from Real Salt Lake in exchange for forward Jordan Cila TRADED - F Jordan Cila to the MetroStars in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick in the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft. TRADED - A partial allocation to KC in exchange for M Chris Klein and a 2006 Youth International Slot Trade of Pablo Brenes to Costa Rico...In a separate transaction, Real traded Sequeira to fellow expansion team Club Deportivo Chivas USA for a 2007 second round MLS SuperDraft pick. acquisition of DF Paul Broome via trade with the Los Angeles Galaxy. Broome was acquired in exchange for a Second Round 2007 MLS SuperDraft pick, the pick acquired by RSL in March in a trade with CD Chivas USA in exchange for the rights to DF Douglas Sequeira ACQUIRED - rights to Diego Walsh from Kansas City in exchange for 2007 3rd Round Supplemental Draft pick To obtain Gregorio, Salt Lake sent Colorado a permanent Youth International slot and a First Round 2007 MLS Supplement pick. ACQUIRED - A 2007 third round Supplemental Draft Pick from Columbus in exchange for DF Rusty Pierce ACQUIRED - Rights to F/M Duke Hashimoto and Columbus’ 1st-round 2007 Supplemental Draft Pick in exchange for GK Noah Palmer

Who the heck keeps track of all of this? Jeez. And most of this doesnt make sense. We didnt trade sequiera to chivas we got him from chivas...unless I totally missed something last week and we traded him back again...which wouldnt surprise me in the least. hahaa...in which case we should get Dunny back too. (which we sort of did anyways...hummm).

If I remember correctly we had the rights to Sequera when he first came to the league because we were hosed on the Brenes going back home. We then traded him to Chivas only to trade back for him a season later. Something like that.
The bulk of these were just cut and pasted from the Transactions page of MLSNET. I was trying to see if we still have our draft picks unlike last year where we traded away our 2nd and 4th pick. http://www.mlsnet.com/mls/transactions/index.jsp Last edited by BroncsBomber : 12-17-2006 at 09:20 PM.
