RSL wouldn't have to deal with all three teams ahead of them. All they'd have to do is work out a deal with KC who currently is on the top of the list holding the first allocation.

Pastorino said today that it is nothing more than a rumor and not to expect it. Plus they just signed a Costa Rican guy, Soto (or something like that) to a contract. He plays left mid, the same position that Beasley would be playing.
ps. Trembly will not play this year at all.

Are you saying my source is vague?
I heard it straight from Steve himself. I would be estactic if he does come here and I pray that he does.

I'm not doubting your sources, mind you, just trying to reconcile your statement with the coach's......

That is why I was shocked to hear it. Pastorino said in staff meeting that there is no truth to the rumors that are out there about DMB and that RSL has signed Soto who plays the exact same position than he laughed. I hadn't heard the rumors in the desnews or heard the radio interview with Ellinger. I hope that DMB plays here as much as the next guy.
I am not sure who is telling the truth between the two. Pastorino hasn't lied in staff meeting before and I don't imagine that E lies to the press so blatantly.

DMB could play up to in a 4 - 3 - 3, that is where PSV has been using him.

Have Beasley would be cool, but I'm not holding my breath.

While it would be nice to have someone with the skills of DMB playing for RSL, I am not sure I would be ecstatic to see DBM come back to MLS. For me DMB was showing other young American players that they could succeed with a bigish European, but non-English club. All of the work that he has done to dispel those myths about American players would be set back. I am acutally quite disappointed in these rumors. Yes, I am in the camp that a large majority of our top players should be playing in Europe against the other top players in the world...even if the quality of our domestic league suffers.
