Sorry, I meant to sarcasm marks on my previous post.

According to that article, the Legislature is already going ahead with SL County's request to funnel Hotel Tax money to TRAX.

Glad they didn't wait until to Saturday to gut the RSL stadium plan. Not that it needs help.

BTW I have no idea where $90 million is coming from. Oddly, thats the same amount Checketts said he had as private investment money for development. $45 million and then $30 million was the amount that RSL was looking for from the County.

I was kind of under the impression that the $90 mil was the total value of the future cash payments over 20 years or whatever, and that the $35 mil was the present value.

I got a cool email from Anderson Geneva, thats the company in Orem (Vineyard) that wants to build a soccer stadium.

It essentially said that Checketts was currently talking to SLCO to iron out the deal for Sandy. But they said if it falls thru, Anderson Geneva was waiting to buy the team and build in Orem.

If you want a copy of the email, send me your email address.

I guess this is the place where I can stare at all the freaks from UC and go......BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH!!!!!

As Dr. GeNioS, I'm hereby going to call this syndrome "Premature eStadiumlation." See your health care professional and ask if Premier Development League is right for you.

Side effects from play include nausea, drowsiness, headaches, hair loss. You are always ok to drive heavy equipment after taking PDL as no beer will be found within 50 miles of a UC PDL match.

Isn't it time you asked about PDL?

I don't open my eyes in the morning until I've had my 3rd cup of coffee and I drink beer by the gallon.

And even I find it hard to hate on Happy Valley. Happy Valley has given us Montjules, Loyal1. Jim Umber and many others without whom Rice Eccles would be a lot duller.

Ummm...you do realize I live in Florida, right?

I could care less if its in SLC, Sandy or Orem. I just wanted to team to stay in Utah, and if Checketts was going to sell, I saw Anderson Geneva's plan the best one to make that happen.
