Show of Unity

Just a random thought, but what if we staged some sort of public rally early next week? We could do it at the Galavan Center and migrate over to CH. 2 to get behind their news cast at 10 pm. You know, just make signs, bring drums, sing/ chant... etc. for a couple hours.

We could make the media, Utah Soccer and other soccer organizations aware of when it was going to happen and hope for a decent turn out. It would need to be at least a couple days away so that word could be spread... we could also spread word at the game. So what do ya think for a possitive idea that would most likely draw plenty of media attention? (media loves protests/rally's)

Just a thought... does anyone want to take this idea and run with it? I unfortunately wont have time today or tomorrow to do anything on it... or I would get it done myself.

Might be a great idea to do this Wednesday night after the friendly against Morelia. TRAX goes directly from the stadium to right in front of the studios.

Sounds good... WEdnesday night right after the game (at about 9:00 pm) at the Galivan Center.

Start spreading the word... contact people you know and lets get as much support there as we can.

Drums, Banners, signs... the game will give us time to warm up our voices and make our voices heard.

There should probably be banners and posterboards.

What should they say?

"We just want the same deal that The Larry got" sounds whiny and is too long for a posterboard anyway.

I'm out of ideas.

I am guessing that people think this is not a good idea?

if so what would you suggest?

I'm thinking, any type or organizing has been attempted before, and you're seeing the usual response to organizing some sort of show for support.

"Dear fans, let's get poeple out to Channel 2, Friday morning before the first home game."

5-10 of us show.

"dear fans, sell tickets to the May 27th match."

some of us do it.

organizing is rough. especially when people don't want to do it. I"m just calling it as is.

Never mind me... I can't resist the temptation to get in a good OC joke.

This is true, but it may be easier to get people together after the game, at least I hope it would be.
