Okay so RSL was playing a US Amateur team today right? Does anyone know how it turned out? Any news on it?

Good question!!!!!! I'm surprised nothing has been posted. Maybe RSL SC lost and know one is in a hurry to post that info. We'll have to get used to RSL SC losing every now and then. They can't win every game, but they can play hard in every game.

GO ReAL!!!!!!!

Good point. I was sitting back just waiting to hear much they won by because, well, they've been winning all their games lately. That'll be weird next time they lose.

RSL 3-1 US Amateur!

Another win! The team is now 4-1-1 for the preseason.

Goals by Mathis, Kreis and Selolwane.

Yea!

Glad RSL won their final match in Florida. Next stop, Portugal (working on some inside ppl to scout for us).

For many reasons, you can't ascribe the importance to these preseason games that you would to a "real" game, but nevertheless these results are very encouraging. They sound like the team is comming together nicely and the bugs are getting worked out. It also sounds as if the second stringers are pulling together and working into the lineup, as well. That's important, as we all know that some of our main players are going to be gone a good bit of the time and we're going to have to count on those second team players.

Of course, I expect that Coach Ellenger would put a positive spin on anything that came out in these skirmishes, but reading between the lines I sense that he really is happy with the progress and I am, too.
