The wee morning hours so as to leave commuters with a morning surprise and things to consider on their commute 🙂 but yes, something that attracts media coverage would have much more effect.

If the general public was convinced, that would open the door for the politicans to rethink things.

Elected officials react to constituents. Actually, there really hasn't been an outcry for the public. What you have is negative poll numbers on this question. Do you want your tax dollars used to build a stadium for a professional soccer team?

Most of us would probably respond in the negative to that question. That is why we need to educate those around us. If we spread kernels of truth, it will build.

The letters to the editor will reach some of the right people who will help us do our jobs. We just have to connect with the right people, you know the ones who have the ears of others. We just have to find those people.

I was referring to the almost constant negative letters to the editor that were published in the newspapers recently, regarding the stadium proposal, in addition to the negative letters and phone calls the politicians have referred to AND several poorly worded polls in recent months.

Sadly, all you have to do is read the letters to the editor, or the comments on the ksl board to realize that (whether informed or not), public opinion is pretty much against us at this point. While the media (and possibly LHM) are hurting our cause, it is the general public that we need to somehow educate and try to sway to our side.

See now, that's what I was trying to say. But you made it actually make sense.

Exactly. The idea is to reach the general public.

So now we have the target audience identified... how do you all recommend we reach them?

If the entities of NAC are inundated with letters to the editor in support of our view, they will have to publish some of them.

If we need to, we can call a press conference of our own.
