At this point if Ellinger were to go, who could be brought in? Arena's joining NYRB. I would think Bliss would want to stick around at KC for a chance to take over as the head coach (he's the interm coach at the moment). Are they just holding out until the end of the season to see who's available once the next USMNT coach is named?

So, with the gift-wrapped package given to us last night by DC United, RSL ends its July stand with 8 pts. out of a possible 18 pts.

These are fewer pts. than what 75% of those who voted on this poll demanded.

Well, since the fans are so demanding, maybe that will be another reason for Checketts to take his team an go home. Take your poll for what it's worth, nothing. RSL had a great game yesterday so enjoy the victory. Of course, all fans wanted a better home stand, but those taking this poll really didn't have the right to demand anything. I think most people were only hoping for their choice, more than demanding.

Looks like you've figured out what the rest of us have known from day 1. Sort of funny that you want to call people out for demnding things though. See you again after the next win in September some time.

Since day one, this club has been all about consistently poor performances with an occasional surprise. The DC United match was your occasional surprise. Enjoy.

I'd rather say that they look like a surprising upstart team that has trouble a few week between each start. 🙂

I'm not calling people out for criticizing the things that need to be criticized, but I can't believe that some jr. high students (at least that's what the act like) come to the victory celebration with the attitude of that victory sucks because we like it so much better when we loose. And yes, that is how you and a few others come off after every victory.

If your a true fan, you will celebrate the victories with the rest of the fans.

Do you know what the bitter taste in that kool-aid you're drinking is?
No matter, it's too late anyway. Maybe you should just have another.

Yeah, it's called "optimism" and it only tastes bitter to pessimists who call themselves "realists". And this after determining that the kool-aid container is half empty.

RSL's record shows that we have only won 5 games this season. 5! That's no more than we won last season!

I am afraid that the occasional surprise that RSL springs on us gives some people a false sense of hope that success is just around the corner.

Rather than touching up this cottage that is RSL, we need to bust down the walls and add a few new wings to create a new mansion. We need some major remodeling, not just some touch-up work.

It will hurt but in the long run it will be for RSL's good.

We need a new coach if we want any long-lasting and consistent change.

Isn't that the mantra of MLS though? Teams coming out of nowhere and going on a run? Isn't that more of the rule than the exception in the MLS? That's the impression I'm under, and perhaps it's what drives this "success is just around the corner" mentality in many people.
