Fav line: "In a couple months, this will be over with," he said. "People will forget about it and move on and that's what I'm looking forward to." Highly doubtful.

Do I regret this? No. I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby.

Donovan is a clown. I wish U.S. Soccer and MLS would just forget about him.

Beeeyotch (I'm sorry but I'm having a really hard time not swearing today) should have taken me up on my offer to loan him my ballet shoes when the getting was good...

I would have a lot more respect for him if he just took some ownership.
Of course, I would be reAl happy if he announced he was joining a Cola Championship club in an effort to move up to the EPL some day and show the world that he is "the man". Never happen though. He likes LA too much. Slacker.

????
Donovan has talent. He's only 23 (is that right?) and I for one am glad he's with the MLS!!!! I want this league to grow into an internationally respected league, and that becomes hard the more our best players leave. Welcome home, Landon. __________________

Yea, and I don't ever want my kids leaving home because they will make my home a better place; even though it would be good for their growth.

All good players leave for Europe, professional soccer fails in the US. With that in mind, what good child wouldn't want to stay home if it meant the difference between success and failure for their progenetor's and consequently their posterity? There are many instance in history where a community has "circled the wagons" or gathered together to strengthen itself. That's what I see this as. Now, I'm not saying that no talented US players should leave. But I feel that more of them should stay. __________________

Let me spell it out:
Aerick is 100% wrong once again. It's a talent really. Landon Donovan plays for L.A. because he is a pansy and couldn't cut it with the big boys. Was he in Germany? MLS will never be an internationaly respected league when it welcomes heartless washouts back as returning heros. Bruce Arena is right on this one. MLS isn't good enough to prep U.S. nationals to compete with the big boys. __________________ "We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true." - Robert Wilensky Last edited by soccerman : 06-29-2006 at 04:31 PM.
